From the helmet of: Tesla
There are a few times in life when I think it's completely ok to drop off the face of the earth for a while. Trudging through a particularly hard macroeconomics course would be one, and dealing with the loss of a beloved pet is another. For the past couple of months, I've been dealing with both. So! No blogging, no making, some skating... but very little of anything else. When the world feels like it's falling down all around you, blogging just feels like the least important thing in the world. All that being said, there are a LOT of folks out there doing the derbs and college, and working, too! I'd like to tip my hat to all of you. To see people achieving their goals in derby while simultaneously earning a masters degree is totally awe-inspiring. Doing it while raising a kid and working? Awe-inspiring. It makes me feel like a total wuss to even think about complaining about my problems. I'm working on my bachelors degree, working part time (from home), and I have zero children. Hats off to all the hard workers, dream-makers, and get-shit-doners. You freaking rock. Summer is coming, and that means summer school for me. Lots of it. Ridiculous amounts of it. I'll try to stay active here, but I can't guarantee it. I know everyone gets it. I hope this blog can do big things one day!
